Clark Family Golden Retrievers is a small kennel located on 5 acres in
a small North Florida town Green Cove Springs. We got our first
Golden in 1996 Zowie after our mix lab & golden passed away after
10 years of pure joy and our world came to a sudden stop I really
cannot tell you how we mourned for ALF and yes we did name him
after the television show about the alien that lived with the family
back in the 80's,after that we thought it was best to try and help a
puppy from the animal shelter so we got a little female mix golden &
chow and this was really a nightmare .We named our little girl Alfie
still missing our precious big boy Alf , well to make a long story short
Alfie had a bad skin problem that didn't develop until she was about 6
months old and her illness was really untreatable without a lifelong
commitment of medical costs after spending about $3000.00 the vet
suggested that it was best to put her down because she would never
would had a good quality of life so we had to do the right thing for the
puppy.
If I would have spent the money up front and purchased a purebred
dog from a reputable breeder I would have been better off ,so I tell
everyone that if you by a puppy from a pet store or newspaper just
member one or two visits to the vet and you have spent the money
that you could have got a healthy puppy with no medical problems but
I will say this PLEASE REMEMBER THIS THAT THEY ARE NO PERFECT
PEOPLE OR ANIMALS .We have 8 adult American / English Goldens 2
males & 7 females and1 of girls retired moms also we have all of our
goldens on Nu Vet
